Wall art is judged up close, so small flaws matter more here than on a storage bin. Most of the links in this collection are lithophane frames, plus a generator for sizes no ready-made frame covers.

A lithophane panel shows its image when light passes through it, which makes the frame and the light source part of the piece. That is why the panel size comes first and the frame second.

Benchy is here for a practical reason. It is a cheap way to see how your printer handles fine detail before you commit to a long display print.

The well-known test boat. It is not wall art, but it is a cheap way to check that your printer holds fine detail before a long display print.

Every link goes to an outside site, where the files, images and license live. Drawings show the type of object, not the listed model.

02 / Before you print

What to check first

  1. Confirm the panel size against your print bed before you plan anything else.
  2. Print the panel before the frame, then measure it and choose a frame that fits what you made.
  3. Use a small detail test before a long job, so a tuning problem does not cost you a full panel.
  4. Check that you have the rights to the source image, especially if it is a plan or a photo you did not make.
